The venue

Brussels Expo is the largest infrastructure of its kind in Belgium. The infrastructure of its Exhibition Halls is indeed a legacy of the Brussels World Fairs of 1935 and 1958 and nowadays hosts a hundred or so events every year and welcomes some 2 million visitors.

The place chosen for the DDR 2017 is the Hall 11.

How to get there

Thanks to an extensive public transport network (train, underground and bus), Brussels Expo is easily accessible from anywhere in the city.
Visitors could find public transportation stops close to the infrastructures (200 m).

Brussels Airport
Brussels Airport is the main international airport in Belgium. It is located 20 minutes from Brussels Expo and counts with a quick a direct train between the airport and the main stations in Brussels (Brussels-Nord, Brussels-Central and Brussels-Midi).

Brussels South Charleroi Airport
Brussels South Charleroi Airport is an international airport, located in Gosselies, 46 km south of central Brussels.
To get in Brussels by public transportation, you can buy a ticket to “any Belgian station” in any of the ticket machines available outside the terminal near to Door 2. This ticket includes the TEC bus journey (from the airport to Charleroi-South station) and the train journey (from that station to another Belgian station of your choice).

To reach Brussels Expo from Midi Station, take the direct number 6 underground train line in the direction of Roi Baudouin. Get off at Heysel. This journey will take about 15 minutes.
From the Central Station, take the number 5 underground train line towards Erasme, or line 1 towards Gare de l’Ouest. At Beekkant take line 6 towards Roi Baudouin underground station. Get off at Heysel. This journey will take +/- 20 minutes.

Brussels Expo is very easy to reach by Metro.Take line 6 towards Roi Baudouin and get off at the Heysel stop. This station is a few minutes’ walk from our Halls.
